ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for Speaker ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Speaker page to adjust the playback rate and volume of the system
speaker so that it is customized for your computer.
To change the speed or volume of the speaker:
1. Select the Speed or Volume slider.
2. Adjust the slider in the desired direction.
3. Click on the Speaker button to hear a test sound.
Repeat the process until the adjustments provide the best quality possible,
given the limitations of the speaker device.
For a detailed explanation of each item on the page, select from the list

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Help for Speed ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Speed slider to adjust the rate at which a sound is played on the
system speaker. The faster the setting, the shorter the sound and the higher
the pitch. The slower the setting, the longer the sound and the lower the
pitch.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. Help for Volume ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Volume slider to adjust the maximum volume level at which sound can be
played on the system speaker.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Help for Play ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the Speaker button to play a test sound and determine whether the current
speed and volume settings produce the best quality sound, given the limitations
of the system speaker.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Help for Undo All ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Select Undo all to undo any speaker settings made since the last time the
Speaker page was opened.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Help for Playback Limit ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Because playing a sound on the system speaker consumes most of system
resources, you might want to restrict the time spent playing a sound.
Use the Playback Limit slider to set a limit for the duration of sound file
playback. For the value to take effect, you must select the Limit Playback to a
specified time check box.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 7. Help for Limit Playback ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
When the Limit Playback check box is selected, the duration of sound file
playback is restricted to the time shown on the Playback Limit slider. If this
item is not checked, no restriction for system speaker playback is set.

The Help push button provides help for the Speaker settings page.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 9. Help for Keys ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use the following keys to control the operation of the Multimedia Setup
program:
Tab
Move among choices on a page of a notebook and switch between the major
and minor notebook tabs.
Arrow keys
Move among choices
Enter
Select the notebook page associated with the cursored tab
Spacebar
When the focus is on a major or minor notebook tab, pressing the Spacebar
opens the notebook to the associated page.
Alt
Switch to or from the menu of an application window.
PgUp
Displays the previous page each time the key is pressed when the focus is
on a notebook tab. This key is typematic, which means the notebook pages
keep turning as long as the key is pressed and held down.
PgDn
Displays the next page each time the key is pressed when the focus is on a
notebook tab. This key is typematic, which means the notebook pages keep
turning as long as the key is pressed and held down.
Home
Displays the first page of the notebook when the focus is on a tab.
End
Displays the last page of the notebook when the focus is on a tab.
Alt+PgUp
Same function as the PgUp key except the focus can be anywhere in the
window.
Alt+PgDn
Same function as the PgDn key except the focus can be anywhere in the
window.
Alt+Home
Displays the first page of the notebook while the focus is on a notebook
page.
Alt+End
Displays the last page of the notebook while the focus is on a notebook
page.
